With Evenweave it is easy to count the stitches, thanks to its extremely regular weave. It also has a soft texture, making it pleasant to handle. Evenweave is woven in single threads (unlike Aida which is woven in blocks) and stitches are usually worked over 2 threads of the fabric. Consequently, 25-count Evenweave has a stitch count of 12.5.

Because the threads are woven singly, they can be withdrawn, making Evenweave suitable for withdrawn and pulled work.
